Job Summary: The Manager of Operations will play an integral role within the leadership team of CSFN. This position is crafted for an individual who is eager to grow with the organization and influence the conservative movement across Canada. With direct accountability to the President and CEO, the role encompasses two primary domains: Financial Operations and Event Operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Operations:
- Oversee the day-to-day financial activities of CSFN, ensuring fiscal responsibility and transparency.
- Coordinate budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting.
- Coordinate accounts payable and receivable.
- Work with President to foster strong relationships with all sponsors and donors.
2. Event Operations:
- Coordinate the planning and execution of CSFN’s flagship conferences, smaller events, and various programming initiatives.
- Develop and manage event budgets, timelines, and logistics from conception through to post-event evaluation.
- Coordinate with speakers, sponsors, vendors, and participants to ensure successful events.
- Oversee promotion strategies to maximize event attendance and impact.
- Implement and analyze post-event feedback to enhance future initiatives.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow programs such as ‘Conservative Values Tomorrow’ and ‘Days of Applied Conservatism’.
- Manage Coalition Partner Exchanges.
- Work collaboratively with other team members and allied stakeholders to advance the network’s objectives.
Qualifications:
- A firm commitment to conservative principles and the mission of CSFN.
- Proven experience in operations management, preferably within non-profit, political, or advocacy organizations.
- Good understanding of financial management and accounting principles.
- Experience in event planning and execution, with a track record of managing large-scale events.
- Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
